The NFL has been a labor dispute with its referees, and so far this season, the league has chosen to use replacement referees rather than meet the demands of the regular referees. Those replacements, however well-meaning, simply aren't capable of performing up to the standard required in the NFL. So far, we've seen missed or wrong calls, dangerously dirty play, and out-of-control fights. The last play of Monday night's NFL game was particularly troublesome, as the ball was clearly intercepted by Green Bay, yet the ruling by the officials (even after review) was that Seattle scored a touchdown. As a result, Seattle won the game. Commentators and fans were disgusted and furious. What is the cause of the problem? Are the NFL owners guilty of "greed"? What should the NFL do now? How can fans and commentators help achieve that result?
