Should supporters of Gary Johnson vote for him on a Libertarian Party ticket?

Would this be a sign that the Libertarian Party is improving and deserves consideration? Or is getting rid of Obama so critical that it would be better to vote for a bad Republican over a better Libertarian? Should the Republicans keep losing, even if it means four more years of Obama, until they learn their lesson and stop nominating pragmatists, fascists, and theocrats?
